It will be held at the Judd School in Tonbridge and is being performed by the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge Concert Band in partnership with the Stadtkapelle Heusenstamm who have been twinned since 1984.
They have performed in numerous concerts together and been on exchanges and tours to Malta and Prague.
Everyone is invited to the concert in Brook Street on Sunday, September 14, where the bands will play a varied programme of well-known musical favourites including hits from Chicago.
“I’m so pleased that we can celebrate 30 wonderful years of twinning with this unique concert and by welcoming our guests from Heusenstamm once again" - Cllr Sasha Luck
The Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Cllr Sasha Luck, will be joined by three guests representing Heusenstamm Council for the anniversary celebrations.
Leader of Heusenstamm Council Uwe-Michael Hajdu, and colleagues Ingrid Henninghausen and Ulrich Hoeffken will attend the concert as part of a four-day visit to Tonbridge and Malling.
Before the concert, the Heusenstamm Council guests will take part in the Heritage Open Day weekend activities by cheering on the teams taking part in the Dragon Boat racing on the River Medway in Tonbridge and visit the Medieval Fair at Tonbridge Castle.
Mayor Cllr Sasha Luck said: “I’m so pleased that we can celebrate 30 wonderful years of twinning with this unique concert and by welcoming our guests from Heusenstamm once again.
“Twinning is so important; it encourages new friendships, helps increase understanding between cultures and countries and inspires younger people to continue to value and develop the partnerships we have forged. Here’s to the next 30 years!”
The concert will begin at 5.30pm.
