A lorry driver is set to be charged with causing the death of a Tonbridge man, who was crushed while carrying out road repairs.
Dale Pentney, 20, was pronounced dead after the accident on the A21 Sevenoaks bypass last January.
He is understood to have been working as a contractor, carrying out road repairs when the tragedy happened.
Now Anthony Smith, a 48-year-old man from Newport, is to be charged with causing his death.
He is accused with driving a Mercedes HGV without due care and attention and has been summonsed to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Monday, when the charge will be formally put to him.
In a Facebook group dedicated to his memory, Mr Pentney was described as "lovely", "crazy" and "fun-loving" in tributes left by friends and family.
His sister Shain Pentney said: "He is and always will be special to everyone and a big hole will be left quiet without his laugh but his antics will never be forgotten by the lucky people he met in life. He is and always will be a joker but a very special one."
