A 27-year-old man appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today in connection with the country’s biggest ever robbery.
Ermir Hysenaj, of New Road, Crowborough, East Sussex, has been charged with conspiracy to rob the Securitas depot at Tonbridge in February.
Paul Chamberlain, prosecuting, said Hysenaj would return to court on June 12 with five others facing charges over the £53m heist and kidnapping. Hysenaj was remanded in custody.
Meanwhile, Romanian warehouse worker Raluca Millen, 25, has become the seventh person to be charged and appeared at Maidstone magistrates court on Saturday accused of conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to rob.
Millen, of Dudley Road, Tunbridge Wells, will appeared at Maidstone Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Friday.
Since the robbery on 22 February 22, Kent Police has charged a total of five men and two women with offences including kidnap, conspiracy to commit robbery and handling stolen goods. In total, 27 people have been arrested and £20m of the £53m stolen in the robbery has been recovered.
