A lucky kmfm listener has started the bank holiday weekend by winning £1,000.

The Kent radio station's monthly Thousand Pound Friday competition gives listeners 24 hours from 6pm on Thursday to enter and be in with a chance of pocketing the cash.

When 24 hours is up, a random entrant is chosen and called by presenter Rob Wills on Drivetime.

May's winner is Sandy Gardener from Tonbridge. She was at her daughter's house, looking after her grandchildren when she text in for the competition.
