A new retro sweet store has opened in Tonbridge town centre.
Mr Simms Sweet Shop has something for everyone's sweet tooth - including liquorice, jelly beans, fudge and a range of American treats.
The franchise opened under the name of Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe in Leek back in September 2004.
There are now more than 80 stores, including one in Hong Kong.
The Mayor of Tonbridge, Cllr Sue Bell, carried out the grand opening of the latest venue today in The Pavilion.
Along with the colourful presentation, featuring a wall of sweets with more than 100 jars, the new shop is an opportunity to employ local young people to serve the community.
Tony Chan, franchise director, said: "It was a project started last year with the owner, Sri Dayalan, who was keen to bring Mr Simms to his hometown.
"The reception we had has been overwhelming and people of all ages were leaving the shop with a smile on.
"We encourage our franchisees to be an active part of the community and this will be further demonstrated when the shop will have a stall at Hilden Grange School on September 17.
"Sri has had plenty of experience running Domino's Pizza for several years and chose Mr Simms because he wanted a business that would bring enjoyment to everyone. He is extremely happy with the results and hopes people would feel the same."
