A new taste of Sushi is coming to a town centre supermarket.
Customers in Tonbridge will now be able to treat themselves to a range of the Japanese speciality at Waitrose in Sovereign Way.
Sushi Daily opened at the store today and becomes the third pop-up counter in the county after Tenterden, Paddock Wood, Canterbury and Chatham.
Foodies can enjoy new sushi burritos, the new Japanese-American fusion food, similar to a large maki roll, and featuring sushi ingredients such as fish or vegetables, rolled in a seaweed wrap, they are served up like a burrito.
Sushi Daily managing director Ian Roberts said: “We’re thrilled about opening a franchise in Tonbridge which builds on our ever-expanding partnership with Waitrose & Partners supermarkets across the UK.
“We’re sure that residents will be delighted when they see our expertly trained sushi artisans create the finest delicacies for them when they visit.
“The counter will offer a wealth of lunch on the go options such as our Japanese-American fusion cuisine, sushi burritos, right up to a beautifully presented sushi selection for a special occasion, making Sushi Daily a fantastic choice for people who enjoy a treat when they’re dining in.”
