Emergency services called after car overturns in Whistler Road, Tonbridge

A person was taken to hospital after a car ended up on its roof following a crash.

The incident occurred earlier this evening (July 16) and sparked traffic issues in the area.

Police officers and paramedics were called to the two vehicle crash at around 6.15pm.

Crews assessed and treated two people at the scene, before taking one to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for further medical treatment.

According to traffic monitoring tool Inrix, the road was temporarily shut, between Faraday Ride and Hunt Road, while emergency services attended.

Passers-by noted several cars at the scene following the incident, with many stopping to assist following the crash.

Two fire crews were also spotted in attendance.

One woman, who did not wish to ne named, told KentOnline: “I think the homeowners of the houses were all out to help and he had cloths on his head.

“I think they were putting pressure on his head, he was very much in shock, quite a young lad.”

The road was re-opened following the recovery of the two vehicles at around 9pm.
