A serving police constable has been disqualified from driving for two years after being caught drunk behind the wheel.

PC Louise Wilson, 36, was more than three times the legal drink-drive limit.

She has now pleaded guilty to the drink-drive offence at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court.

The Metropolitan Police officer was off-duty when she was stopped by police in Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough on Monday, July 18 at 1.30am.

She was arrested and charged after a breath test showed she had 111 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

PC Wilson has been disqualified from driving for 24 months, forced to pay £85 and a community order has been put in place for 12 months.

The officer, of Dale View, Erith, remains on restricted duties and a misconduct review is due to take place.
