A person died after they collapsed near Tonbridge railway station.

Paramedics were called at around 5.20pm yesterday to reports a person had collapsed near the station, on Barden Road, and provided emergency treatment at the scene.

The person was taken to hospital but was pronounced deceased on arrival, a spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service said.

Kent Police have been contacted for comment.
