Person flown to hospital after two-car crash on A229 Staplehurst Road, Marden

A person has been flown to hospital after a two-car crash.

The motorist had to be cut free from their vehicle after a head-on collision with another car on the A229 Staplehurst Road, in Marden near Tonbridge.

An air ambulance, police, and fire fighters were called to the scene yesterday at around 3pm.

A spokesman for the Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of one vehicle.

"The casualty was assessed by paramedics before being transported to hospital by air ambulance.

"The two occupants of the second vehicle were also transported to hospital for precautionary checks."
