POLICE are appealing for information about a missing 16-year-old girl who had been staying Tonbridge for several months before she disappeared.
Heather Downs has not been seen since November 3. Although originally from Erith, she had been staying in Tonbridge since March.
She is five feet tall and, unlike in the photograph, had her auburn hair cut in a bob to just below her ear. She is also said to have a very pale complexion.
Police do not believe she is in any immediate danger and believe she may be with people she has met in either London or Cambridgeshire. However, the concern is that she has not been sighted since being reported as missing.
Police would like to talk to either Heather or to anyone who has seen her to establish that she is safe and well. Sgt Rob Chitham said: "We want to find Heather to check that she is OK. She is not in any trouble with police so should not worry about making contact with us."
Anyone with information is asked to contact West Kent Police on 01732 771055 their local police station.
