A21 Sevenoaks by-pass reopens southbound after pothole is fixed

A large pothole and an accident caused long delays on a busy road this morning.

One lane of the A21 Sevenoaks by-pass was shut southbound near the A225/B2545/Morley's Road exit until 12.30pm.

Police were called to the carriageway near Tonbridge just before 8.30am to reports of a hole which was causing a hazard to motorists.

It's understood to have caused damage to three or four vehicles.

Kent Highways has since tweeted to say the pothole has been repaired and the road re-opened.
