Hever Castle will be presenting a selection of Formula One and classic cars for a special Father's Day event.
In partnership with racing great, John Surtees, OBE, the castle will display four cars that played a major part in his life.
Mr Surtees started on two-wheels and carried out an engineering apprenticeship. He will bring to the event three motorcycles that also played a special part in his career.
First is the 1949 HDR Vincent Black Shadow 998cc which is considered the world's fastest and best motorcycle.
Second is a 1949 500cc Vincent Grey Flash, the motorcycle on which the racing icon won his first ever race and considers the most important of his life.
Third is a BMW Rennsport which represents his first connection with the BMW company.
BMW are also sending two of their prized collector’s cars.
Mr Surtees said: “It gives me great pleasure to bring along a little of my past and career around which I have so many memories. Put that together with a range of exciting limited edition prints of cars and races that have played a large part in my life, clothing and other merchandise produced for the Henry Surtees Foundation that I formed after the loss of my son, and there is a lot to interest visitors.”
Mr Surtees will be on the castle forecourt talking about his stellar career and answering questions at 12pm.
The retired grand-prix driver who lived and worked in Edenbridge for many years, remains the only person to have won World Championships on both two and four wheels.
