A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash with a car.

Shipbourne Road, in Tonbridge, was closed this morning after the accident at its junction with Willow Lea.

Police were called at around 9.05am and the ambulance service also attended the scene, where the cyclist was treated for injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident but it has now reopened.

The cyclist was taken to hospital and a police spokesman said officers had left the scene by 10.45am.
