Police investigating a cocaine ring spanning the south of England have arrested six suspected gang members.
The men – including three from Tunbridge Wells – were arrested following allegations they were all involved in a drug supply chain.
It is believed suppliers were using mobile phones and postcodes ranging from the south west to Tunbridge Wells and were also carrying out deliveries to addresses in Tonbridge.
Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate carried out search warrants at various houses in Swindon and Wiltshire last Friday (May 10).
The raids resulted in 28 mobile phones, two swords, and quantities of cocaine and cash being seized.
The following six men were detained and later charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs:
Sabre Arnaut, 27, of Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells
Mehmed Mola, 21, of Jackwood Way, Tunbridge Wells
Cosmin Vlas, 34, of London Road, Grays, Essex
Leutrim Bardhoshi, 24, of Ascham Road, Swindon
Sait Arnaut, 23, of Goods Station Road, Tunbridge Wells
Georgi Dimitrov, 24, of Maidstone Road, north London
All the suspects appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (May 11) and were remanded in custody.
Their next hearing is scheduled for Maidstone Crown Court on June 7.
A pair of other suspects were also arrested – a man aged 30 and a woman aged 20 – who were bailed until August 7 pending further inquiries.
