A SIXTH person to be charged in connection with the £53m Securitas depot robbery at Tonbridge in February has been remanded in custody following a court appearance.

Ermir Hysenaj, 27, of New Road, Crowborough, Sussex, was accused of conspiracy to commit robbery when he appeared before magistrates at Maidstone.

He is due to reappear before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court on 24 April 24.

An 18-year-old man who was arrested in Tunbridge Wells on Tuesday has been released on police bail.

Four men and a woman already face charges including kidnap, robbery and handling stolen goods. They are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on June 12.

A third man, aged 19, from Ilford, Essex, was also interviewed under caution at Tonbridge Police station by the inquiry team and released.

The investigation into the robbery and to recover the cash still missing continues. Kent Police has already recovered around £20m of the £53m stolen.
