River Centre in Tonbridge played host to West Kent Skillsfest

For the second time in as many weeks, The River Centre in Tonbridge played host to another of EBP Kent’s signature events.

Enjoying its sixth year, The West Kent Skillsfest welcomed over 70 exhibitors from a range of backgrounds and specialisms.

14-19 year olds were offered the chance to visit the centre and take advantage of industry and specific table top activites.

The aim of the event is to educate Kent’s young people on the skills required to succeed in a future workplace.

Companies including Microsoft, IBM, Spatial Dimensions and Take 4D attended the West Kent Skillsfest presenting possibilities to 1500 young people.

One student commented: "It was very inspirational and I now know what I want to do in the future."

A McNulty, CEO of EBP Kent said: "Year after Year young people from West Kent come together from all schools to meet local, regional and national employers; it is repeated because every year it is a different 1500 young people and every year it is a roaring success! Employability and progression for young people, a key part of a successful economy."
