Homes in a new development in Tonbridge are being released for sale off plan due to popular demand.
Developers, Redrow, are constructing everything from one-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom family homes on the Somerhill Green site in Tudelely Lane.
A spokesman for the home-builder said apartments at its Waterside Reach estate in the centre of the town are selling fast and Redrow is confident it will experience the same success with these new properties.
Sales director, Rachael Baillie, said: “Redrow is a brand that people in Tonbridge know and trust, although up until now we’ve only built apartments in the area.
"We’re hoping to replicate the success of both Canons Wharf and Waterside Reach with the launch of Somerhill Green.
“The development features homes to suit the needs of a variety of buyers and budgets and we’ve amassed a database of more than 1,500 people who are interested in purchasing here.
"We’ve decided to satisfy buyers’ curiosity by releasing the properties for sale ‘off plan’. Those who act fast will not only have more choice than those who wait, in the style of property and its position within the development, but also in its interior finish.”
Somerhill Green will offer 128 properties for private sale. Redrow will also build 55 affordable homes as part of the development.
As part of its commitment to sustainability, the home-builder said it pledges to invest £1.39 million in the community, including almost £750,000 towards local schools, plus contributions of more than £600,000 for new and improved open space and £35,000 for highways.
The development is situated to the south west of Tonbridge, with direct access to the A26 and A21.
Somerhill Green will launch on Saturday, June 27 at 10am.
