A devastated family have paid tribute to a "funny, kind and caring" young woman who was killed in a crash on the A21.
Kathryn Knight died aged just 40 after her Mini Cooper crashed into a fence near Tonbridge on Thursday.
The personal trainer – known as Kath by her friends and family – had been on her way to a friend's house in West Wickham when the tragic incident occurred.
Her brother Darren said that her death came as "a terrible shock".
He said: "Kath wanted for nothing and asked for nothing, she was just a funny, kind and caring person.
"She gave so much positive energy and love to everyone around her. If you weren't smiling, she would make you smile.
"She was a free spirit, loved by all of her family, and we are all completely inconsolable."
"That was really what she was like, kind, caring and loved by everyone"
Ms Knight had been staying with her friend away from her home in Bexhill-on-sea, East Sussex, so that she could more easily care for her elderly service users.
Darren explained: "She was working with them to make their lives better, the pay was barely enough to cover petrol but that was just who she was really, she just wanted to help.
"She was going to stay there because she had to get up really early the next morning to care for some older people.
"That was really what she was like, kind, caring and loved by everyone.
"The tributes from friends and everyone who knew her have been absolutely amazing, they show what kind of impact she had on everyone's lives."
The 40-year-old leaves behind her parents, brothers and sisters and more than 10 nieces and nephews.
Darren said: "We're all absolutely devastated, she leaves a real hole and our family will never be the same.
"Kath loved and visited her nan Jean every day, which was partly the reason why she and her mum Deborah moved to Bexhill in the first place.
"It's really hard on her sister Charlotte, she was four years younger than Kath and they were soulmates, completely inseparable.
"Deborah's sisters and brother have been amazing in comforting her at his sad time.
"If we were to have the funeral she deserved, more than 200 people would be there, but obviously that can't happen now but we will have a proper memorial when things return to normal."
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash on the A21 london-bound around 6.50pm on Thursday, and officers are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact.
Officers would also like to obtain dash cam footage that shows the vehicle prior to and in the moments leading up to the collision.
