A distraught woman tried to kill herself after a vengeful ex-lover posted a sex video on Snapchat two weeks after the break-up.
Jilted Kristian Morfitt, 20, then accused her of trying to frame him by hacking into his account.
Prosecutor Alec Williams told Maidstone Crown Court heard how the victim was so shocked she was taken to hospital after swallowing 30 painkillers.
Now a judge has jailed Morfitt for six months because of the 'extreme and serious' impact of his revenge porn crime.
Morfitt, of Priory Walk, Tonbridge, admitted disclosing a private sexual image with intent to cause distress.
Judge Martin Huseyin told him: "This offence was targeted at a particular social group who would know who the victim was and with who she was bound to come into contact, and would cause maximum distress to her.
"You know the harm was very serious. It hit her so hard she tried to take her own life. It is difficult to think of a better example of serious harm and distress.
"This offence was targeted at a particular social group who would know who the victim was and with who she was bound to come into contact..."
"And it is still having a serious affect in that she feels people are looking at her and judging her in a particular way."
The court heard how the victim who was suffering from depression, saw the screenshots of Morfitt's Snapchat account on January 4.
Mr Williams added:"The resulting effect on her was dramatic and extreme in terms of distress and how it manifested.
"That same night she attempted to take her own life by taking 30 painkillers and as a result had to be taken to hospital."
Despite initially trying to blame his former partner, Morfitt later described himself as 'a horrible person' to the author of a probation report.
He also said he had removed the video within minutes of publishing it.
Ciaran Smith, defending, told the court Morfitt had been a drug user and downing three to four bottles of wine at the time but had been clean of both since July.
