KENT Police today arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with their investigations into the murder of John Skilton following a blaze at his home at Bridge Close, Tonbridge, on Sunday, January 21.

It is the second arrest in relation to the inquiry. A man arrested shortly after the fire was later released without charge.

Officers carried out road checks in the area of Bridge Close late on Saturday and in the early hours of Sunday as part of the investigation.

They are continuing to appeal for witnesses who may have been in the area of the fire in the early hours of the morning of January 21.
