Tonbridge boss Steve McKimm is in the transfer market for a striker after his team’s goal drought continued in midweek.

Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat at Dulwich means struggling Angels have failed to score in four of their last five games.

McKimm admitted: “I’m missing that cutting edge up front, someone to put the ball in the back of the net.

“I am looking and trying to work on it, to put a bit of pressure on our forwards, to make some competition for places."

Tonbridge are only two points above the Ryman League Premier Division drop zone and the teams below them have games in hand. So does that concern McKimm?

He said: “It will do – I’m sure it will concern everybody involved with the club because it’s not a healthy position to be in. It’s something we’ve got to get ourselves out of. With hard work, we will do that.

“We’ve got to start climbing the table sooner rather than later or we’ll find ourselves in a lot of trouble.”

This weekend Angels play their first league game at home since the start of November when seventh-placed Met Police are the visitors to Longmead.
