Tonbridge Angels sign Ben Greenhalgh from Dartford on deal to end of the season

Ben Greenhalgh has joined Tonbridge on a deal to the end of the season after leaving Dartford.

Greenhalgh’s contract at Princes Park has been cancelled, leaving the 27-year-old forward free to sign for the Angels after an impressive loan spell.

Tonbridge boss Steve McKimm said: “Ben’s done well for us on loan. He’s added that bit of quality and experience we needed as well.

“He wasn’t going to get any game time at Dartford so it was it in everyone’s interests that he cancelled his deal there and signed for us till the end of the season.

“He’s a good addition to the squad, as he’s proved in his time with us, and he tells me he’s loving his football here.

“I don’t think he wanted to leave Dartford if I’m being honest - it was forced upon him because he wasn’t going to play - but he’s not hidden the fact that if he was going to go anywhere, he would come to us.

“It’s not a case that we’re second fiddle to Dartford. He enjoys it here, we’ve offered him games of football and he’s taken that up.”

Greenhalgh scored a wonder free-kick on his Angels debut and has since helped McKimm’s side climb out of the National League South relegation zone.

He initially joined on a month's loan in November, with the deal extended last month.
