A young former Charlton midfielder has agreed to join National League South Tonbridge on a permanent basis this summer.
Jeremy Santos, 21, has enjoyed two separate stints on loan with Jay Saunders’ side - the second quickly ended by a serious injury he sustained at Dartford.
Santos, who has dual-nationality with Ecuador, had been at The Valley since he was nine and progressed through the youth ranks before earning his first professional contract in 2021.
But Tonbridge confirmed on Tuesday morning that Santos is back at Longmead for more.
“(I am) absolutely delighted to bring Santos back to the club but, this time, as our own player,” he told the club website. “He’s someone that needs no introduction to our supporters.
“I think everyone appreciates what a top player he is and, hopefully, now we can work with him; (we can) get the best out of him and get him back to where he was after his first spell with us.
“And if we do that, we know we’ve got one heck of a player on our hands and the fact that he was so desperate to come and play for the club again is the sort of character we want around the place.”
Other Angels have signed ahead of the season are former Dartford defenders Ronny Nelson and Tom Clifford, as well as ex-Welling defender Crossley Lema.
The club have also appointed a new kit manager in Larry Hays.
