Tonbridge boss Steve McKimm warns his squad he wants quick learners

Tonbridge boss Steve McKimm has issued his players with a warning ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup showdown at Faversham.
Angels go into the first qualifying round tie needing a result after losing twice over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Beaten 2-0 at Harrow last Saturday, they led 2-1 at home to Folkestone on Monday before crashing to a 3-2 defeat.
McKimm knows time is not on his side as he bids to make Tonbridge a force in Bostik Premier – and competitive in the cup competitions.
He said: “This year I’ll be more ruthless because if they don’t learn from it, I haven’t got time to hang about so I need to get someone in that will learn from it.
“You’re governed by results. We’ve got to learn from it and make sure it doesn’t happen again. You shouldn’t need to score four goals at home to win and the boys got told that after."
Faversham have lost three of their first four league games but McKimm insists Tonbridge won’t take them lightly.
He said: “You’ve got to show these teams a huge amount of respect. I’m not interested what league they’re in and what league we’re in. In the FA Cup, it means nothing."
There are no new injury concerns for Angels, who could have Damian Scannell and Tom Parkinson available again within 10 days.
