TONY DOLBY: "Nothing's going to stop us in our quest for survival this year"

TONBRIDGE ANGELS are hoping to resign Leroy Huggins ahead of their trip to Ryman League basement side Kingstonian on Saturday.

The Angels were left with just two fit substitutes against Wealdstone on Monday, after Jon Beales and Brendon Cass both injured an ankle before the game.

One player who will feature is Lenny Piper, the former Gillingham midfielder on loan from big-spending Fisher Athletic. Manager Tony Dolby is delighted with his new capture and would not rule out a permanent deal.

He said: "Lenny’s a class player who’s played in the Football League and the Conference and he’s very much a luxury we can’t really afford but he’s going to come in for us for a month and hopefully do well for us.

"It would be nice to get him for another month after this and then see how it goes. You never know in football, so never say never because situations change, but Lenny’s certainly the type of player I’m looking to bring to the club.

"It just depends on the finances and whether I have to ship people out to get people in, nothing’s going to stop us in our quest for survival this year."
