Tonbridge boss Steve McKimm says he has no plans to add to his squad, despite a disappointing Ryman League Cup exit against Hastings at Longmead on Tuesday.

McKimm’s side bowed out at the second round stage 3-0 on penalties after the game had finished 2-2.

Ellis Brown and James Folkes were on target for Angels during the 90 minutes before the Sussex side scored three of their first four penalties while Angels missed all of their attempts.

McKimm said: “I feel that we’ve missed a great chance to really progress in the competition – that’s what really disappoints me. Everyone loves a cup run, regardless of what competition.

“We had enough chances to win it before it went to penalties but we didn’t take them, and if you don’t do that you won’t win games."

But, despite the loss, McKimm admits he is happy with the players he has got.

He said: “My phone is always ringing with players wanting to come here, but I am happy to stick with the lads I’ve got."

Fifth-placed Tonbridge return to league action on Saturday with a home clash with seventh-placed Kingstonian. They visit Leatherhead on Wednesday.
