Steve McKimm hailed Tonbridge’s bank holiday exploits as remarkable.
Angels are top of the Bostik Premier after following Saturday’s 2-0 win at Margate with a 1-0 success at Folkestone on Monday.
They’re still to concede a goal after five games.
Boss McKimm said: “To have two Kent derbies away from home over the weekend and come away with six points and not concede is remarkable for those players.
“We didn’t have a lot to change and people were running on empty towards the end at Folkestone but we came through it.
“It’s nice getting clean sheets, because it shows we’re doing things right, but the boys are just happy getting results.
“They haven’t been boring 1-0s – it should have been 4-0 at Folkestone.
“We are creating chances, we just have to start putting them in the net.
“The boys aren’t going on about clean sheets but we want clean sheets because then you definitely end up with a point and then it’s about getting more in terms of wins.
“We know what we’re doing, the players know what they’re doing but we’ve only played five games. There’s a long way to go.”
Goals from Tom Beere and Alex Reid gave Tonbridge victory at Margate, with defender Sonny Miles scoring the winner at Folkestone.
Tonbridge host Wingate & Finchley on Saturday and entertain VCD in the League Cup on Tuesday.
McKimm said: “Wingate will be pushing for the top five, like they do every year.
“Keith Rowland’s got a good passing side there.
“He’s got Mark Weatherstone with his experience at the back and a good forward line.”
