Tonbridge's FA Cup dream came to an end as they suffered a heavy home defeat on Saturday.
Angels made it to the First Round for the first time in 48 years but - just as in 1972 when they lost at home to Charlton - Football League class proved too much to overcome.
There had been much love between the clubs before the game with Bradford fans raising money for Tonbridge to compensate for the loss of gate revenue as the game was played behind closed doors due to Covid-19.
But Bradford put in a ruthless display on the pitch, their passing crisp and their finishing clinical as the League 2 outfit advanced to Monday's Second Round draw without a hitch.
Both teams were unchanged but it was Bradford who started brightly, passing the ball around with ease on an excellent Longmead playing surface.
It took them just six minutes to make the breakthrough. Connor Wood crossed from a short corner and Anthony O'Connor had the freedom of the penalty area to head in unchallenged beyond keeper Jonny Henly.
Bradford's professional players looked a class act, Tonbridge were left chasing shadows at times with their 4-4-2 formation not working against Bradford's 3-5-2. The visitors always seemed to have too much time on the ball or a man to pass to.
Bradford doubled their lead on 14 minutes, former Charlton midfielder Billy Clarke - in his second spell at the club - sending a delightful free-kick over the wall and into the corner from 25 yards.
Clayton Donaldson directed his header straight at Henly and Arthur Lee had to make a timely interception to deny Bryce Hosannah.
Angels boss Steve McKimm rightly changed his formation, and their change to 4-3-3 promptly put Bradford on the backfoot. Tonbridge went man-to-man at the back and it seemed to rattle the visitors.
Jack Parter cut inside and shot over before Joe Turner's excellent ball forward sent Alex Akrofi clear in space but his right-foot shot whistled the wrong side of the upright.
Bradford claimed a controversial third goal on the stroke of half-time. Excellent tracking back by Akrofi saw him thwart Donaldson on the counter attack but referee James Oldham somehow gave the free-kick to Bradford when Akrofi appeared to be fouled.
Angels turned off and Bradford switched the ball from right to left in a flash, Clarke heading in the resulting cross from close range.
Bradford should have added a fourth early in the second half but Harry Pritchard's close-range shot lacked power and Henly was down to push it away.
Angels responded, though, and Ben Greenhalgh fed Tommy Wood, whose right-foot shot was pushed to safety by keeper Richard O'Donnell.
The game was put to bed 10 minutes into the second half when a lovely passing move from Bradford was finished off at close range by Donaldson.
Callum Cooke hit the post for the visitors and Kristian Campbell's header was hooked off the line at the other end as Tonbridge heads never went down.
Bradford claimed a fifth on 68 minutes when Tonbridge again switched off at a free-kick and substitute Austin Samuels went through to score beyond Henly.
It became a damage limitation exercise for Angels as legs tired in the last 20 minutes.
Bradford added a sixth with seven minutes left, Pritchard finally getting his name on the scoresheet with a close-range finish.
Turner sent a right-foot shot inches over with four minutes left but there was to be no deserved consolation for Angels, whose efforts were not reflected in the final scoreline as Bradford added a seventh in stoppage time through Wood's close-range finish.
