Fisher duo become Angels

TONBRIDGE Angels have made two signings ahead of the Ryman Division 1 season.

Former Millwall defender Steve Aris and goalkeeper Jerome John have joined Tony Dolby's squad for their bid to make an immediate return to the Ryman Premier League.

Aris, 27, won the Player of the Year award at Southern League side Fisher Athletic last season.

John also played for Fisher last season and is currently a West Ham youth coach.

He will replace Jamie Turner who has moved to Welling United.

Dolby told the club's official website: "I am delighted that we have got two quality players to agree to join us.

"There will be more to come but I am not going to be rushed into making early signings as my priority is to bring players to the club who are going to move us in a forward direction."
