Tonbridge are looking for a first home win in four games as they continue their National South play-off push.

Angels, who sit just a point outside the top seven, face relegation battlers Hungerford tomorrow (3pm)

Ten points from 12 on the road has put Jay Saunders’ side bang in contention for the play-offs.

Tonbridge have played well at home but since beating Worthing last month they’ve seen half-time leads disappear against Concord and Taunton, drawing 2-2 and losing 3-2.

That was followed by a creditable 1-1 draw with champions-elect Ebbsfleet.

If Angels rediscover the winning touch at home, they’ll do their top-seven chances the power of good.

“We’re setting the boys little targets in two and three-game blocks,” said boss Saunders.

“The biggest one for us at the moment is Hungerford because it’s the next game.

“They’re fighting for their lives and we’ve not won in three at home.

“We’re not where we are in the league by luck, we’re there because we’re a good side, and as the season’s gone on teams come and sit people behind the ball and try and make it hard for you.

"You have to go for it and you end up getting caught on the break

“Concord at home, we could have won by eight but we didn’t take our chances and they’re always going to get a chance, and you come a cropper.

"We were 2-1 up against Taunton and managed to lose that game.

“It’s frustrating but it’s not like the performances have been awful and you can say, ‘Blimey, we were rubbish today’. It’s just been that we haven’t taken our chances.

“You can go back further. We were 3-0 up against Slough and drew 3-3 and we drew 0-0 with Braintree where we’ve hit the post and the bar.

"We’ve got goals in us, we know that, we just need to tidy up little bits here and there.

“Hungerford will give everything for 90 minutes but our form overall has been good. I think we’ve only lost two in 14 or 15.

"It’s nice to have something to play for at this stage of the season. We’ve given ourselves a chance of getting in the play-offs.

"We just have to concentrate on ourselves and hopefully the results take care of themselves.”

To mark Non-League Day, Angels are offering reduced admission of £10 to season-ticket holders of Premier League and Football League clubs.

Tonbridge season-ticket holders can also bring a friend for £10 instead of the usual £15 entry.

There will be free sweets for kids in the Angels Sports Bar as part of an extended happy hour between midday and 2pm, as well as half-time entertainment and a party, featuring live music, in the marquee after the game.
