Manager Steve McKimm wants Tonbridge to move on from their FA Cup exit as they prepare for two tricky away games in Bostik Premier.
Angels’ first qualifying round defeat at Faversham on Saturday was their fourth loss in a row but they ended that run by putting 10 goals past Herne Bay in the Velocity Trophy on Tuesday.
McKimm takes his side to face struggling Harlow on Saturday and he’s reading nothing into the fact the Essex side are fourth-bottom wth just three points to their name.
He said: “We don’t have a good record against Harlow and it’s one of the hardest places in the league to go and play your football.
“They’re organised, strong, powerful and they’ve got the bit of guile they need to open it up with Alex Read up front who scores bundles of goals and Junior Dadson. They’ve got players that are a handful.
“We’ve got to do our best and the same with Thurrock (on Tuesday), a new team that have come up and got some momentum.
“They’ve got some good players with Mark Stimson and Glenn Poole getting them going.
"They’re two tough away games but our luck is due to change soon.
“Myself and the players can’t bring back the FA Cup, it’s done. We’re all disappointed about it but we’ve got to look to what’s in front of us.”
Daniel Thompson, Alex Akrofi and Andre McCollin all scored twice in the 10-1 thrashing of Herne Bay, with George Beavan, Tom Beere, Joe Turner and Nathan Elder also on target.
McKimm said: “I was looking for them to get their confidence back and they did that in abundance. When the chances came along, we hit the back of the net.
“Some people have doubted but I’ve always kept the faith with them.”
