Manager Steve McKimm expects a cagey contest when in-form Kent teams Tonbridge and Folkestone meet in the FA Cup this weekend.

McKimm’s Angels are second in the Ryman League, Premier Division and haven’t lost since the opening week of the season.

Invicta, meanwhile, lead the way in Division 1 South and are still unbeaten having won seven of their eight league games and drawn the other.

McKimm said: “Folkestone have always been a good side. Neil Cugley’s been there a long time and he gets them playing the right way.

“They’ve always been up at the top and they narrowly missed out in the play-offs the last two years. They’ve only dropped two points all season, so they’re a strong outfit with some good players. I’m expecting a tough game and anything can happen in the FA Cup.

“We’ll have to be on our game. If two or three players are not, it could be a long afternoon for us.”

Both sides claimed 1-0 wins on Tuesday night, Tonbridge at Brentwood and Folkestone at home to title rivals Hastings.

McKimm said: “They’ll come with no fear and treat it as any other game. One little mistake could cost us. If we’re both at it and we do the right things, it’ll be an interesting game, a cagey game. I don’t think it’ll be end-to-end."

Nathan Elder completes his three-match suspension on Saturday but McKimm otherwise has a full squad to pick from for the first round qualifying tie.
