Two promising former Crystal Palace youngsters have signed for Tonbridge.
Midfielder James Taylor joins after he departed Crystal Palace under-23s following a loan stint with the Angels last season, while fellow 20-year-old Tetteh-Quaye Addy has also linked up with Jay Saunders’ National League South side.
Addy - known as TQ - is a winger who has signed for the Angels after two fine performances in pre-season friendlies, including scoring against Margate last weekend in a 3-1 success.
Saunders told Tonbridge’s website: “We think there is more to come from TQ and we are looking forward to working with him as we develop his undoubted potential.”
Taylor’s time at Longmead in the 2021/22 campaign during his loan stint, meanwhile, clearly made a positive impression.
“I’m delighted, of course, to have James’ signature,” Saunders said.
“Our supporters already are well aware of his attributes and what strengths he will bring to the squad.
“Welcome back to Longmead, James.”
An away game at Isthmian Premier Wingate & Finchley this Saturday rounds off the friendly fixtures for the Angels ahead of their National League South campaign which starts at Weymouth next weekend.
Tonbridge are holding an open day this Sunday too.
Saunders and his players will meet the fans from 12pm-2pm, and supporters can also get a look at the club’s new 3G pitch which is being installed this summer.
Free junior football coaching is from 2pm, while there will be music and the bar and marquee will be open. Entry is free.
The day ends with England in the final of the Women’s Euros on the big screen at 5pm.
