Tonbridge Angels v Boreham Wood
After back-to-back defeats Tonbridge Angels boss Tommy Warrilow is looking to put mounting criticism to one side as his side host Boreham Wood on Saturday.
Warrilow confessed surprise at the levels of criticism hurled at him and the club on websites following successive defeats against Horchurch and Saturday's FA Trophy eclipse by Kent rivals Ramsgate.
Supporters have been on his back, even though the club remain a mere six points off second place in the Ryman League Premier Division.
"It's taken us aback because it's so early in the season," said Warrilow. "This time last year Hull City were struggling near the foot of the Championship and they were calling for the head of manager Phil Brown. Today they are up there with the best in the Premier League - that's how quick things get turned around in football.
"Nobody is more frustrated than me, especially going out of the Trophy so early when it represents a good revenue earner. I am determined to get it right and I'm entirely focused on leading the club into the promotion play-offs.
"I enjoy a good working relationship with the joint-chairmen, Nick Sullivan and Gary Pass and they deserve the best."
Warrilow called a team-meeting at training on Tuesday when he told the players to relax and start enjoying their football. "The upshot is that we are all determined to get things right," he said.
The manager is confident key midfielder Ade Olorunda, who has been of contention for months with a broken metatarsal, will soon return to contention.
"He makes a big difference to us," said Warrilow who has re-signed central defender Scott Gooding following his release by Fisher. He returned against Ramsgate and is certain to keep his place for the visit of Boreham Wood.
Top-scorer Carl Rook plays his last game against the Hertfordshire side before starting a one-match suspension that keeps him out of Tuesday's trip to Ashford Town (Middlesex)
