A passenger had to be rescued from their car after a crash on a major road.
The A26 Eridge Road, Tunbridge Wells, was closed in both directions from Broadwater Forest Lane to Broadwater Down.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to assist East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service with an incident involving two vehicles.
“Two fire engines attended, and crews used cutting tools and hydraulic rescue equipment to assist SECAmb to free one person from the car.
“The other person involved was able to extract themselves out of the vehicle.
“Both people were passed into the care of SECAmb, and duty of care to make the scene safe was left with Kent Police.”
Traffic analytics site, Inrix, reported that a diversion was in place via Bunny Lane and Frant Road, but the road was reopened later.
It is believed the accident happened at around 12.30am today.
