Police appeal for information after a man was punched to the ground in Brook Road, Tunbridge Wells near the junction with Oak Road

Police are appealing for information after a man in his 60s was punched to the ground in an attempted robbery in Tunbridge Wells.

The man was walking in Brook Road near the junction with Oak Road on Sunday, December 7 when he was approached by two males, one of whom punched him to the floor at about 9pm.

They continued to assault their victim while demanding money from him, but left empty-handed. The man suffered cuts and bruises and required hospital treatment.

The suspects are both described as being aged 19-20, slim and about 5ft 5in.
