DETECTIVES are today appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery at the Comet store in Longfield Road, Tunbridge Wells.

As the store was closing just after 8pm last night, three men, one carrying a small handgun, forced staff to let them into the premises.

They demanded money and took a small amount of cash from tills. The men then left the store and drove away in a saloon car. No-one was hurt during the incident.

The men are described as white, believed to be in their late 20s, and they were all wearing dark coloured hooded tops.
