Detectives are appealing for the public’s help after an attempted robbery in Tunbridge Wells.

Shortly before 6pm on Saturday, October 4 a man reportedly entered a shop in Camden Road and demanded the shopkeeper hand over the money from the till, threatening the victim with a small pen knife.

The shopkeeper challenged the man who turned and ran out of the shop empty-handed and is believed to have headed towards High Brooms rail station.

The suspect is described as being a white man, aged between 22-28 years-old.

He was approximately 5ft 8in tall, wearing a black hoodie, tight blue jeans with a ‘stone washed’ effect, and white trainers that were ‘well worn’.
