A body found in a badly damaged car has been identified as that of a 55-year-old Tunbridge Wells man.

Emergency services were called to reports of a crash in Bunny Lane, Frant, just before 4am last Thursday.

Officers who arrived on scene discovered a body in a Silver VW Golf, which had left the road and collided with a tree.

The teen was arrested yesterday.

The road remained closed for nine hours while investigations were carried out.

Police are working to establish how the fatal smash happened.

The East Sussex coroner has been informed.
