MEGAN DORAN: dropped off at a railway station

POLICE in West Kent are appealing for information about a girl of 13 missing from her home.

Megan Doran was last seen at about 9.45am on Friday when she was dropped off at Tunbridge Wells railway station. She had said she intended going for a day out with friends to London.

Megan, from Tunbridge Wells, is described as white, 5ft 3ins tall, of medium build, with medium-length brown hair.

When last seen she was wearing light blue jeans, a grey zip-through jersey top which had yellow and red stitching down the front zip, and beneath that a multi-coloured top.

She also wore white slip-on leather shoes. Police say that though she is 13 years old, she may appear older. It is thought she may have travelled to either London or Brighton.

Det Insp Steve Evans, of West Kent police, said: "Megan needs to know that she is not in any trouble. Her parents just want her to come home.

"We are concerned for her welfare and would like to know that she is safe and well. If anyone has any knowledge of her whereabouts we would like to hear from them. Any calls made to the police will be treated in the strictest confidence."

Anyone with information is asked to telephone 01732 771055 or contact their local police station.
