A drug dealer who was found with cocaine hidden in the roof of his car has been jailed.

Artur Gecaj was pulled over in his Toyota Prius in Culverden Park Road, Tunbridge Wells on October 1 where he was found with more than 40 deals of the Class A drug.

He admitted having cocaine hidden in the roof compartment of the vehicle.

The officers from the town's Community Police team seized a total of 41 wraps with an estimated street value of £2,050, a mobile phone and £310.

The phone was found to have texts relating to drug dealing, the most recent being a message arranging to supply cocaine at the location where he was arrested.

Gecaj, of no fixed address, was arrested and later charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

The 23-year-old pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court and at the same court on Tuesday he was jailed for two years and ten months.

District Commander for Tunbridge Wells, Chief Inspector Peter Steenhuis said: "Here is another criminal who has learned that visiting our town to deal drugs will quickly lead to a prison sentence.

"My message to those county line cocaine suppliers who seek to establish themselves in our communities is simple; my proactive officers, who work in uniform and plain clothes, will remain vigilant for your arrival and take all necessary steps to bring you to justice."
