Diners in Kent may see some familiar food being plated up on the Great British Menu tonight.

Scott Goss, chef patron at The Twenty Six in Southborough, will appear in the BBC competition's kitchen tonight, battling out against chefs from London and the South East.

The chef from West Malling trained at Thanet College in Broadstairs before working with TV chef Gary Rhodes in London.

After spending time at City Rhodes and Rhodes in the Square, Mr Goss became head chef at The Swan in West Malling, before becoming executive chef at restaurant group I'll Be Mother.

The group's roster boasts Kent restaurants Tunbridge Wells and The Swan at Chapel Down in Tenterden, however Mr Goss' time is mostly spent as chef patron at The Twenty Six in Church Road, which is also part of the group.
