Knifepoint robbery at wine bar

A man escaped with cash from a wine bar after threatening an employee with a Stanley knife and locking him in an upstairs room.

Forensic tests are now being carried out on cash discovered in the garden outside the Thorins Wine Bar, Nevill Street, Tunbridge Wells, where the robbery took place between 10.15pm and 10.35pm on Sunday .

The man who threatened the employee is described as white, aged 30-40 years-old, 5ft 10ins, medium build with mousey coloured hair. He was wearing a black woolly hat and a black scarf around his face, a black crew-neck fleece, jeans and trainers.
