Local man helps catch suspected drug dealer in Tunbridge Wells

Praise has been heaped on a Tunbridge Wells man who helped stop a suspected drug dealer.
Police had discovered substances believed to be heroin and crack cocaine after stopping a Smart car in the Ramslye area on Tuesday, March 13.
While arresting the driver, a passenger tried to run from the scene.
Officers gave chase, and managed to detain him after a resident caught the runner in Summervale Road.
Ch Insp Pete Steenhuis said: "Whilst we would never encourage members of the public to put themselves at risk, I'd like to thank the man who helped our officers in preventing this suspect from getting away.
"We have had huge successes in recent years tackling those who have attempted to supply drugs in Tunbridge Wells, however information from residents continues to be vital in helping us to detect and deter criminals.
"If you see anything suspicious, don’t hesitate to report it."
A 19-year-old man from Gravesend and 17-year-old boy of no fixed address were arrested on supicion of supplying Class A drugs.
They were later released, pending further investigation.
