A Tunbridge Wells man is accused of stealing jewellery and cigarettes from two High Street stores in the town.

Frederick Webb, 36, of Vicarage Road was arrested at Tunbridge Wells Railway Station on November 3.

On Friday, October 29, a break-in was reported at a High Street shop where jewellery was stolen from display cabinets while the store was closed.

Then on Wednesday, November 3, tobacco and other items were taken from another shop in the High Street while a member of staff was distracted.

On the same day, three frauds were allegedly committed using a stolen bank card in three separate town centre shops.

Webb is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on December 2 to answer charges of theft, burglary and three frauds.
