A manicurist who has worked with stars including Rita Ora, Maisie Williams, Joanna Lumley, Abbey Clancy, and Nicola Adams MBE, is hoping to win a national award.
Nickie Rhodes-Hill from Southborough, who has clients in Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, has had a whirlwind 18 months, working with some of the best known photographers and stylists in the country.
But now she's hoping to enjoy further glory at the Scratch Stars Awards, where she is a finalist in the Session Stylist of the Year category.
Miss Rhodes-Hill has had an interest in nails from a young age, as her mother was a manicurist for Revlon at The Cumberland Hotel in London.
In recent years she has worked with Vogue, TKMaxx, Primark, Comic Relief, Dove, and Uniqlo, among others.
The annual awards are organised by leading nail industry publication Scratch Magazine, and are now in their sixth year.
The Southborough technician fought off fierce competition to be named as one of five finalists, and now has to submit a dossier and evidence for the final judging day, due to be held on Tuesday, May 16 at The London College of Beauty Therapy.
She said: "I am honoured to be one of the five finalists in this category and to be in such great company.
"Scratch Stars honours many elements of the nail industry, but this is the only award in the industry that recognises session manicurists and nail technicians. This year it's a very tough category with so much talent."
All finalists will then be invited to attend the Scratch Summer Party at Tropicana Beach Club in Covent Garden on Sunday, July 23, where the winners will be announced.
