Two men from London appear in court after machete, crack cocaine and heroine seized in Tunbridge Wells

Two men have been charged after Class A drugs and a machete were seized by police in Tunbridge Wells.

An unmarked patrol car stopped an Audi A1 in Castle Road on Thursday at around 4.30pm after two of the occupants were seen acting suspiciously at High Brooms railway station.

The car was searched and officers from the county line and gangs team seized crack cocaine, heroin, cannabis, a machete and four mobile phones.

The driver and two passengers were arrested on suspicion of drug dealing.

Two men from London - George Walker, 21, of Adelaide Avenue, Brockley, and John Dadswell, 20, of Watermill Lane, Edmonton, were later charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply, possession of heroin with intent to supply and possession of a bladed article in a public place. Walker was also charged with possession of cannabis.

Both men were remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 27, where they were conditionally bailed to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on August 21.

A 20-year-old woman from Edmonton, London was released pending further investigation.
