An outdoor clothing and equipment retailer is set to launch its eighth store in Kent.

It has taken over the 8,995 sq ft unit formerly home to Argos – which is next to TK Maxx, Next and New Look.

The company announced the closure of the store in April 2022.

It was part of a nationwide decision to merge with supermarket giant Sainsbury’s, which bought the business in 2016 as part of a £1.4 billion takeover.

In addition to the Mountain Warehouse range, customers will also discover the latest Animal collections.

The coastal lifestyle brand offers organic cotton T-shirts, hoodies, swimwear and flip-flops.

It is set to launch this Saturday (June 1) and has created ten new jobs in the local area.

A spokesperson from Mountain Warehouse said: “We’re delighted to be opening our new store in Tunbridge Wells, and excited to share our passion for adventure and great value outdoor gear for all the family, even the dog!”
