Suspected shoplifters charged after Marks and Spencer in St John’s Road, Tunbridge Wells targeted more than a dozen times

A pair of suspected shoplifters have been charged with multiple offences after more than a dozen thefts from a Marks and Spencer.

It is alleged the store at a petrol station in St John’s Road, Tunbridge Wells, was targeted a number of times in three weeks.

A police spokesman said the thefts happened between Monday, July 29 and Sunday, August 18 and totalled hundreds of pounds of groceries, alcohol and vehicle products.

Buddy Jarrett, 31, of Vicarage Road, Tunbridge Wells was arrested yesterday (August 19) and charged with three shoplifting offences.

Jessica David, 35, of Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells was also arrested the same day and was charged with 11 thefts.

Both were remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (August 20).
